Legend tells of a headless police officer that walks the stairs and corridors of the old nick theatre, a Victorian police station and magistrates court within the heart of Gainsborough. A figure has been seen to sit in seat 13 within the theatre itself watching the amateur dramatic shows. No one knows where he comes from but he is one of many ghosts or spirits that haunt this old beautiful building.
